Red Cross Needs Some Christmas Magic, More Blood Donors

This article has been read 7 times

Washington (dbTechno) - The American Red Cross is asking for some Christmas magic in the form of new blood donors coming in to bulk up the supply.

With Christmas now just 48-hours away, there is still time to get out and help those in need by donating blood.

There are many people who are going through the winter months with health problems, and a blood shortage is not helping the cause.

The American Red Cross has reported though that every single day, there are nearly 40,000 people who need blood for various surgeries and such.

The blood you give can go to help someone in your own family, a friend, or even a perfect stranger.

The point is that it is Christmas, and one of the best gives you could give to anyone is your own blood, as it could truly save a life.

The only requirements for donating blood are that you have to be age 17, and weigh 110 pounds.

If youa re in good health, you could help someone beat heart disease, a heart attack, surgeries, stroke, etc.
