Push Is On To Ban Smoking In More Public Across Pennsylvania

This article has been read 12 times

Washington (dbTechno) - The push is on to try and ban smoking in nearly 100% of places in the state of Pennsylvania.

There have been reports coming out of the state of Pennsylvania that there is growing support to try and ban smoking in 99.9% of public places in the state.

This is being headed up by Sen. Stewart Greenleaf, a Republican.

He has proposed, according to WFMZ-TV in Pennsylvania, that the smoking ban in the state be vastly expanded.

There has been growing opposition to this push, mainly from facilities such as clubs, bars, and casinos, but the support is there as well.

The hope is that by expanding the public smoking ban, they will be able to improve air quality a great deal.

This will lead to a lower risk for diseases and such people can pick up from being around smoke.

According to the local reports, Sen. Greenleaf is expected to introduce the plan to expand the smoking ban in January 2009.
